Robert (“Rob”) is founder of the Parkins Lane Consulting Group and is its Managing Director.
Parkins Lane Consulting Group’s largely services-based clientele include Accounting, Consulting, Legal and Patent Attorney Firms, Software Developers, Audio Visual specialists, Forensic and Security experts, High-Performance sporting coaches and Psychologists.
Rob’s employed roles include the following:
- Rankin Business Lawyers – a short stint, assisting “virtual law firm” Rankin Business Lawyers with its growth strategy. This was a great opportunity for Rob to immerse himself in the world of new law. The convergence of digital disruption and the legal industry has created an exciting new space in the legal industry.
- Macpherson Kelley – After an initial strategy assignment for the Macpherson + Kelly, Rob was asked to join the firm to oversee the implementation of this strategy, including the creation of “one firm” nationally from 5 autonomous subsidiaries, the establishment of a world class shared services capability and the remediation of the firm’s IT environment.
- HWL Ebsworth – Rob was the Chief Operating Officer at HWL Ebsworth Lawyers for eleven years. During his tenure at HWL Ebsworth, he drove substantial growth in firm through a series of mergers and lateral appointments, transforming it from a four-partner Melbourne based practice to a national firm with over 100 partners. The business model developed during this time is still employed by HWL and set it up to become Australia’s largest law firm.
- Deloitte – A Chartered Accountant, Robert began his career in the insolvency and reconstruction sector working with global professional services organisation, Deloitte.
